May 2, 2008 - Hall, Booth, Smith and Slover, P.C. hosted a reception in honor of five attorneys from the Republic of Georgia. The event followed a week-long program held in conjunction with congress' Open World Program. The attorneys visited primarily to learn about the American concept of trial by jury. The Republic of Georgia will unveil its first jury trials next year, which has been viewed as an historic step toward legitimizing the country's judicial system. Hall, Booth attorneys welcomed the Georgian attorneys into their own homes during their stay and presented them with honorary certificates of membership in the firm. Hall, Booth expects to continue the relationship fostered between the sister cities with future events.
