Business Transactions & Litigation
Mr. Martin, head of the firm's Business Transaction and Litigation practice, is admitted in Georgia and Tennessee. Mr. Martin was appointed to the Uniform Law Commission by Governor Zell Miller in 1997 and has represented Georgia since that time. He represents clients in all aspects of General Corporate practice and litigation. Formerly Corporate Counsel for a leading internet provider, Mr. Martin has experience in all aspects of business transaction and litigation, including Asset Purchase Agreements, Mergers and Acquisitions, Shareholder Agreements, Employment Agreements, as well as all aspects of General Corporate representation and litigation management.

Medical Malpractice
Mr. Martin has developed and maintains an extensive and diverse litigation practice. A majority of Mr. Martin's litigation clients involve the defense of physicians and hospitals. Mr. Martin's clients include CNA, AIG, St. Paul, Travelers, Zurich, and the Georgia Hospital Association. He has extensive experience in all aspects of birth trauma litigation including dystocia, CP, and fetal demise.

Current Legislative
Mr. Martin has over 20 years of hands on experience with the Georgia General Assembly. Mr. Martin has been instrumental in the development and passage of such major pieces of legislation as Revised Article 9, The Civil Justice Reform Act of 2003, The Uniform Fraudulent Transfer Act, and the Uniform Athletes Agents Act. Mr. Martin has been the Legislative Liaison for Georgia for the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Law since 1999.
