Professional Negligence/Medical Malpractice
Ms. Phillips has been litigating in the health care field for nearly a decade. She has represented dozens of hospital entities and health care systems in Atlanta and across Northeast Georgia, undertaking the representation of both hospitals and their employed physicians, nurses, and other licensed personnel in medical malpractice cases, from time of initiation of suit to completion through the trial and appellate stages. She has additionally handled litigation for professional liability insurers representing private practice physicians and surgeons.
 
Health Care
Ms. Phillips has represented hospitals, nursing homes, and other health care entities on civil and administrative matters. She is available to educate or consult with hospital risk managers and administrative teams, or internal hospital committees on a variety of legal issues, including but not limited to medical records documentation, informed consent and general consent, hospital ethics committee issues, mental health commitment, guardianship, EMTALA, risk prevention, peer review, credentialing, and regulatory issues, as well as other issues of concern to health care entities and professionals.

Biography
Ms. Phillips is a partner in the Atlanta office with extensive litigation experience representing physicians and hospitals. Ms. Phillips is a native of Elberton, Georgia.
