General Liability

Construction
Ms. Simelaro's practice focuses on the representation of general contractors and subcontractors in construction defect claims through all aspects of the litigation process, including arbitration and mediation. In doing so, she had defended many cases involving allegations of storm water runoff and mold proliferation among others.

Insurance Coverage
Ms. Simelaro focuses on insurance coverage in the motor carrier and construction areas. She has co-authored, "Enforcement Of Indemnification Clauses In Georgia", "Insured Contract Coverage And Additional Insured Endorsements In Georgia", and "Business Risk Exclusions in Commercial General Liability Insurance Policies and their Application to the Contractor", all of which have appeared in the For the Record / HBSS publications and various seminar presentations.

Transportation
Ms. Simelaro has defended personal injury and wrongful death lawsuits brought against motor carriers and their drivers involving such claims as negligent hiring, negligent retention, negligent entrustment, and general driver-employment issues. She has developed an expertise in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.

Biography
Ms. Simelaro was born and raised in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia. She attended Vassar College and she spent a summer semester in Chile. She graduated from Vassar 1997 with a BA in Latin American Studies and a minor in History. She remains actively involved with the Vassar Alumni Association and is currently the Chair of the Alumni Admissions Program in Georgia. Ms. Simelaro attended Emory University School of Law where she graduated in 2001.
