Hall Booth Smith & Slover, P.C. (HBSS) opened an office in Columbus, Georgia, its sixth in the state and seventh firm wide. HBSS continues to differentiate itself as one of the largest law firms in Georgia, including being ranked the 23rd largest law firm in metro Atlanta with 65 attorneys in that office alone, but the leader in substantial regional presences. The firm has more than 105 attorneys in 25 practice areas serving clients through Georgia offices in Atlanta, Albany, Athens, Brunswick, Columbus and Tifton, as well as a location in Nashville, Tennessee.
"HBSS is focused on the companies and individuals living and working in the state of Georgia,” stated Founding Partner and Chairman John E. Hall, Jr. “Having undergone extensive downtown revitalization in recent years, Columbus is a vital and dynamic city. We have represented clients in the area since our firm’s founding and it was time we brought our services to their front porch.”
HBSS has established its new office in the heart of Columbus’ historic district, at 1443 Second Avenue and directly across the street from the Rankin House. Local community leader Paul D. Ivey, Jr. will serve as partner-in-charge of the Columbus office and will initially staff the office with attorney Mark D. Maholick. Both Ivey and Maholick join from the firm of Tisinger Vance, P.C.
“I became acquainted with HBSS while sharing representation of a client with one of the firm’s partners. I have always been impressed by its ability to combine the resources of a large, full-service law firm with the personal service inherent in local representation,” Ivey stated. “I am honored by the opportunity to drive HBSS’s growth in Muscogee and the surrounding counties.”
