August 29 - September 1, 2010: Partner Fred Hubbs will be participating in the 2010 Annual Educational Conference, featuring Sean Carter. Mr. Hubbs will be involved in his third mock trial with the conference, which will be on the topic of Secrets to Success. To learn more about this event, click here.

September 2010: Attorney Denise Spitalnick will be co-chairing this years Insurance Tort Seminar, which will be held in September. Heather Saum and Paul Ivey will both be speaking at the event. More details will become available at a later date.
September 11, 2010: Partner Brad Carver will be a speaker at the Fifth Annual Meeting of the Friends of Georgia Archives and History. At the event, Brad will be discussing Georgia's Water Wars and other related topics. October 2010: Hall Booth Smith & Slover will be sponsoring the Texas Offshore Wind Energy Roundtable (TOWER) in Houston, TX. June 15, 2010: The Atlanta office of HBSS hosted a fundraiser reception for Labor Commission Candidate, Melvin Everson on June 15, 2010. June 15, 2010: HBSS continues to support and sponsor the Atlanta Claims Association's annual Golf & Tennis Outing on June 15, 2010 at the Rivermont Country Club, in Alpharetta, GA. For over fifteen years, HBSS has been an active member with the Atlanta Claims Association and has been a proud participant in its popular Mock Trial session at the organization's annual conference.

May 6, 2010:
The Atlanta Claims Association Luncheon will be held on May 6, 2010, at the Maggiano's Cumberland. The event will have guest speaker Mike Jacobs, State Representative District 80, Dekalb County, who will be discussing the 2010 legislative development concerning civil claims and civil practice. April 30, 2010: Of Counsel Scott Cole represented HBSS in Miami, Florida at the American Bar Association's (ABA) Spring Meeting for the State and Local Government Section. The event drew state and local government attorney's from the southeast and beyond. Mr. Cole was a member of a panel speaking on how Climate Change is affecting local water resources.

April 25, 2010: Partner Brad Carver and Of Counsel Scott Cole spoke at the County Attorneys' Breakfast held as part of the Association of County Commissioners of Georgia's Annual Meeting.  Mssrs. Carver and Cole discussed water issues, including the practical aspects of Georgia obtaining riparian status on the Tennessee River, interbasin transfers and the progress of the ten Regional Water Councils formed as part of Georgia's Comprehensive State-wide Water Management Plan.

April 24, 2010: Jazzy Thing was a night of food, fun and excitement. This was a night of musical entertainment, silent auctions, casino events, and much more. There were over 1,000 attendees to this year's event and proceeds went helping the Annandale Village, a residential community for adults with developmental disabilities located in Suwannee, GA. April 23-24, 2010: HBSS sponsored the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life of Glynn County racebeing held on April 23-24, 2010. The Relay For Life is a life-changing event that gives everyone in communities across the globe a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease.

April 22, 2010: Partners Alex Booth and Rush Smith represented HBSS as the exclusive legal sponsor for the third annual Healthcare Roundtable on April 22, 2010, which was held at the Maggiano's of Buckhead from 7:30-9:30 a.m. This event drew 225 Atlanta business and healthcare leaders with CEOs from leading health systems. The topics discussed were the healthcare reform and its future impact, the state legislative issues impact on hospitals and what their systems are doing to improve the quality of care in Atlanta.

April 19, 2010: HBSS recently continued relations with the Columbus Regional Medical Foundation as a sponsor of the annual Celebrity Classic, Tennis, 5K/10K Run, Golf and Bike Event.

April 18, 2010: Hall Booth Smith & Slover is honored to announce its participation as a sponsor of the Chip in "Fore" Children's Golf Tournament that occured on Sunday, April 18, 2010. The University of Georgia Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies along with UGA Miracle hosted the event with all proceeds benefiting Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.

April 1, 2010: On April 1, 2010, The Women's Forum of Hall Booth Smith & Slover, P.C. held a client appreciation event at the Cooks Warehouse in Atlanta, GA. At the event, 30 attorneys and clients got the opportunity to enjoy good fellowship while preparing a wide variety of entrees.
