Mr. John E. Hall Jr has been appointed as Honorary Consul to the Country of Georgia in Atlanta, Georgia.

Mr. Hall is a founding partner of the law firm Hall Booth Smith & Slover, P.C. He is also a founding member and executive officer in US Law Network, a nationwide network of law firms. He has an extensive background in civil litigation and appellate procedure. He is well known throughout the Southeastern region of the United States as a premier trial attorney. He has over twenty years of trial experience and has several recognitions including GA Superlawyer and AAIW Man of the Year. As the chairman of the Atlanta-Tbilisi Sister City Committee (ATSCC) since January 2008, Mr. Hall has been a positive force in Georgia-US relations. The Committee endeavors to promote the economic, humanitarian, and educational well being of the country of Georgia. The Committee has hosted several Open World Delegations of professionals and countless leaders from Georgia, as well as being engaged in educational training programs for the legal system in Georgia, and has increased overall awareness for the country of Georgia. He has visited Tbilisi a number of times, and in November 2008, he presented Mayor Giorgi Ugulava with a plaque commemorating the 20th anniversary of the ATSCC in a nationally televised public ceremony. ATSCC has raised funds to support Georgian humanitarian needs after the conflict with Russia in the summer of 2008 and it continues to host fundraisers to support Georgian causes. As the Honorary Consul, Mr. Hall hopes to further develop closer ties between the State of Georgia and the Country of Georgia, as well as provide guidance and assistance to Georgians in the United States. He intends to develop a focal point for the needs of Georgians here in the US and abroad.

 

William Scott Henwood - Of Counsel

Born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He spent his entire professional career in various positions with the Supreme Court and Court of Appeals of Georgia. Upon his retirement from these Courts, he joined the firm of Hall, Booth, Smith & Slover, P.C. as Of Counsel.
